About Wordpress and Mimbo
STC is built on Wordpress, a well established blogging tool. We have made some simple modifications to Wordpress in order to apply it as a content managment platform. We are using Darrin Hoyt’s Mimbo theme. The theme makes extensive use of WP’s template tag system to create a non-traditional “magazine style” layout. It contains no images and only minimal CSS styling. According to Hoyt, the theme ”…exists as a clean, grid-based starter layout for designers to install and style to their own liking.” The Mimbo theme can be seen and downloaded at Darrin’s Mimbo Download page.
