Sail-the-Channel Crew

Marc and Monica sailed Songline across three oceans between 1998 to 2004 and had a lot of fun along the way. The voyage was very much a family affair. Their son Joel, who was just 12 years old when they left, also sailed with them, as did their pet poodle, Jackie.

Marc and Monica are eager to share with you the joy of cruising as well as the many lessons they learned along the way

Captain Marc

In addition to his sailing activities, Marc is an instructional design consultant, helping organizations design and continuously improve their enterprise systems.

He still sails aboard his grandfathers turn of the century Siwash, has crossed many oceans, raced extensively, and is a career marine industry specialist. Howard provides his expertise as advisor and crew to Songlines. His skills and knowledge are unparalleled and his Boston Whaler is a perfect  platform for fishing and for finding remote island surf spots.  He is also an accomplished jazz musician.
